Actualities on the ESF-Research-Project 01/2001

Our intended start up date for Phase One is February 5th.

The main tasks/responsibilities involved are:

  • Negotiating and overseeing the contract with Salford University
  • Developing the protocol with Prof. Long to the satisfaction of the ESF
  • Recruiting National Associations to participate
  • Setting up National Association co-ordination groups
  • Ongoing Briefing and direction of Nat. Association Co-ordinating groups
  • Managing the fundraising plan
  • Managing the inflow and outflow of funds - operation of bank accounts - keeping accounts
  • Preparation and negotiation of funding from a U.K. funding agency
  • Mangement with Prof. Long of the study schedule - facilitating the co-ordination of Nat. Assoc. group's work and that of the study
  • Organisation of translation services
  • Briefing of and consultation with ESF co-ordination group
  • Briefing of ESF representatives and National Associations
  • Set up and co-ordination of the Advisory Group
  • Ongoing advise and assistance in developing project methodology
  • Participation in an advisory capacity in the running of Phase One
  • General 'dogs body'!
