Dissemination

Both phases of the study will provide important material for dissemination, within both the shiatsu profession and the wider research, policy and practice community. Key modes of dissemination will include:

• Meetings of the ESF and national associations and publications of the associations
• Reports in relevant scientific, CAM and conventional medicine journals

These will include country specific as well as European-wide findings. In addition, the

executive summaries of the European and country specific report will be provided to each participating shiatsu practitioner.

Ways to make the study findings available via the Internet will also be explored. More broadly, the study findings may provide the basis for the creation of a European wide database on the uses, effects and experiences of shiatsu, again accessible via the Internet.
